I agree! And have been guilty of saying the church is not a building. It isn’t. That’s true. But the value of our buildings are so much more than the building itself. It’s what happens in our buildings. Were to God that it revolved around beauty and good relationships. I do hope the most of your readers have had those good memories in their church building !

I personally love beautiful buildings that house the beautiful Presence of God. That is truly my favorite. Yet I have been in cathedrals that are cold and empty and warehouses that have ushered in His Presence. Traditional hymns with liturgy and songs so loud my sternum hurts. Again, His Presence is the game changer. I have become a quiet worshipper as of late. Home alone, no music, no stained glass. Just sitting quietly with Him, not even a prayer, just being together.
